Shifting focus she toured the US as the lead singer and co-director/producer of a Vegas type show band, singing Top 40 and pop in over 1,000 performances.
Her family relocated to Tokyo, Japan, where she played a variety of roles with Tokyo International Players (TIP)—as well as serving as its president—and Tokyo Theatre for Children. During her six years there, productions included The Boys From Syracuse, The Importance of Being Earnest, Lend Me a Tenor, Cole!, Picasso At The Lapin Agile, Cinderella, California Suite and the British pantomime, Aladdin. Upon returning to the United States, Amy became an adjunct professor of voice and musical theatre performance at Five Towns College in Dix Hills, Long Island, New York, where she also conducted master classes in acting for musicals and was a lead singer in several American Songbook concerts at the Dix Hills Performing Arts Center. She performed with many theatre companies on Long Island in The Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, and as Miss Hannigan in Annie.
She returned to Asia, this time to Hong Kong, and became actively involved with Perilous Mouths, a primarily British theatre company. She landed leading roles in two premier productions by British playwrights, one dramatic and the other a classical piece in which she sang Italian arias. Other favorite roles in Hong Kong included Desiree in A Little Night Music and as a principal singer in an original Sondheim based show for the opening of a new casino at the MGM Grande in Macau. She also taught singing at the Katterwall Academy for Voice.
Returning to Long Island, Amy landed principal roles in The Fox on the Fairway, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Fiddler on the Roof (Golde) and displayed her jazz vocal talents at the iconic Metropolitan Room in Manhattan.
Amy has had training as a musician in classical piano and the flute and has worked in TV, film and dinner theatre throughout her career. Her newest venture-the TV series, “Daddy’s Girl Club”, in which she plays Camille, a recurring role, is currently streaming on Prime and Tubi.
